Hiya there! My name is Murphee. Other than being a handsome boy, I’m a poodle-bichon frise, and just under a year old. Naturally, I’m extra playful! During the day I love to tussle with a stuffed toy, chase little tennis balls, and shake my rope toys all around. I’m still learning not to jump and play-bite at fingers (ideally, my home needs kids to be 6yrs+). However, I’m super smart, and already know “sit.” Other than that, I also enjoy going for walks, snuggling under a warm blanket, and falling asleep on the couch with someone who loves me. In my foster home, I’m doing really well with all of my classes. In Snuggling, I’m an A+ student. In crate training, I have an A- (sometimes I whine for a couple of minutes), and a B+ in potty training! Of course, I recently got neutered, so I’ll be acing that class in no time. Like all of the dogs at NBS, I’m fixed and up to date on my DHPP, Bortatella and rabies vaccines. Also, I’ve been Heartworm tested (neg), dewormed, and am current on my monthly bug preventatives. P.S. Here are the helpful steps in applying!
1.) Visit www.NBSAnimalRescue.com happy to adopt me. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you, and whatever other pets you have in the home to make sure we all get along. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to do the next steps too. : )
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release info about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your vet). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
