Duke's Story...
Duke a distinguished noble and handsome lad is looking for a forever home. Duke is a wonderful boy with an amazing and unique history. Duke’s owner, once was the world’s largest man weighing nearly 1,000 pounds, had to travel from England to our Country to undergo surgery to save his life. Sadly, for Duke, he has been shuffled around due to the medical issues his owner has suffered from and having to be hospitalized so many times. Duke is currently living with a dog trainer and not a day goes by that Duke doesn’t amaze him. He’s such a big goofy love bug that enjoys the company of all dogs and although he doesn’t have much experience with children, he adores the trainer’s little toddler and just wants to kiss her constantly. Duke is a collie/bully mix, just turned 7. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered and is also microchipped. Duke enjoys being around all dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Westminster American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie for sale in Westminster, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Westminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
