Hunter's Story...
Hunter is a young GSP who is not even a year old yet. He is such a sweet young boy and loves people. He wants to be by your side regardless of what you are doing. He loves to run and play in the yard. A fenced yard is a must since with this breed hunting is in their nature and don't want him running off after something. He enjoys the water and running through large puddles. He plays well with other dogs, but gets scared if they get to wild, he is very submissive with other dogs. He needs someone to teach him his basic commands and is willing to learn. For more information on Hunter call Sharen at 517-548-5720

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Howell German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Howell, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
