Raven's Story...
Raven is a beautiful adult female who found herself without a home when the farm she was living at was bulldozed for a new housing development. She is a sweet, playful, inquisitive adult female who proudly gets around with one eye. Raven was examined by a cat ophthalmologist who declared her to be perfectly able to function with one eye, and does not need medical attention or treatment of the missing eye, which is permanently closed by the third eyelid.

Raven loves to play indoor soccer with a little cat ball, chase toy mice and birds, and try to catch feathers on a stick. She gets along with other cats, dogs, and children, but prefers not to be picked up too much or chased. When she needs quiet time, Raven loves to sit in a window and watch what is going on outside or find a good hiding spot.

Raven is spayed, litterbox trained, up to date on vaccinations and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. She is also microchipped in case she ever gets lost.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
