My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Picnic time for Teddy Bears The little Teddy Bears are having A lovely time today. Watch them, catch them unawares,
And see them frolic on their holiday See them gaily dance about They love to play and shout, They never have any care;
At six o'clock their Mommies and Daddies Will take them home to bed, Because they're tired little Teddy Bears. - from Teddy Bears Picnic
Are all teddy bears really bears or are some teddy bears actually cute fuzzy fluffy puppies? We are going with the latter on this one. Tenille is an adorable 10 week old black fluffy lab mix who currently weighs 7 lbs. Our best guess is that she will end up somewhere around 40 to 50 lbs when full grown. Tenille was abandoned at a high kill southern shelter when she was only 5 weeks old. A shelter is no place for a baby and fortunately she was placed in foster care immediately. What a hoot it has been watching her grow this past month! Her foster dad lovingly tells of her progress and antics. Tenille loves all kinds of toys, especially squeaky toys and balls. She has already caught on to chasing a thrown ball and bringing it back. She does well in crate, which foster dad has utilized as a training tool for house training. He says she has done great with potty training by way of going to the door and crying to be let out. She does still have to go out once during the night (little girl little bladder for a few more weeks any way). Tenille's foster dad says she is well behaved in the house and has been non destructive (supervision is still a must though). Our little teddy bear puppy is wonderful with other four legged furry friends and.....chickens! In fact she will stand guard at the chicken coop and make sure all her feathered friends are safe. She does really well on leash and enjoys going for walks. We hear she is a self starter and will walk herself sometimes...leash in mouth. This baby girl is very smart and is already sitting for treats. When she plays with others she plays long and hard, needless to say when play time is over she is one tired little teddy bear. Tenille joyfully welcomes her people home with an abundance of dancing, frolicking, tail wagging, and lots of kisses. Tenille is already spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on preventatives. All she needs now is a wonderful family or person who would love to make this baby girl a forever part of their lives. We bet she would be lots of fun at picnics!
