Miya's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Miya's Story...
Miya (ME-ah) is only 10 months old. She came to the shelter with her sister after her family realized 2 dogs was more than they could handle while trying to move. Miya is very energetic and can be easily distracted. She's working hard on house training but has a bit to go! Miya is beautiful and with patience and love she will be a wonderful addition to a family. If you love retrievers this girl fits the personality! She loves being made over and will instantly flip over on her back for belly rubs. She and her sister Nisha are wonderful dogs and both need love and attention. If this black beauty is just what you've been missing; give us a call or come visit during adoption hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miya, a Salem Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
