Cara's Story...
Cara is a beautiful girl with amazing blue eyes. She is young and hasn't gotten the attention she so desperately needs. She needs some training. Someone with Husky experience would be a good fit. She is very lovable and bouncy. She likes to play and have fun. But she really loves being with people. Cara is a doll baby that needs some guidelines on behavior. She is seeking someone with a lot of patience and love. She is only 8 months old. She has a lot to learn and a lot of love to give in return. If you think you have room in your home and heart for a beauty like Cara, please give us a call or stop in during adoption hours. www.columbianahumane.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cara, a Salem Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd for sale in Salem, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
