Ben's Story...
Ben is a playful, chatty and friendly tabby kitten. He is very soft and squishy, which is awesome because he loves to snuggle. Ben loves other kittens and humans. Ben was rescued from a kill shelter. He wasn't eating at the shelter and became anemic However, he ate the food and supplements we offered like a champ and appears perfectly healthy.

Ben is a 3 month old (as of end March). He is scheduled to be neutered next week.
Ben tested negative for FIV and FELV, is vaccinated and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Brooklyn American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
