Here's what the humans have to say about me:
560 days at our shelter. We fear this dog is getting depressed as she watches the other dogs get adopted.
How is it possible that our sweet Candy has been waiting for her forever family for more than a year and a half? We pulled Candy from death row in August 2015, had her vetted and spayed, and put her up for adoption and she is still waiting.
Candy is a sweet, friendly soul. She's about 3.5 years old and ready to go. She's fun, energetic and playful. She's housetrained. She's good in a crate. A volunteer has run races with Candy on a leash and Candy has been fantastic.
Candy tested positive for heartworms when we pulled her and she's been undergoing a slow-kill treatment since she was rescued. She has had no ill side effects and shows absolutely no symptoms. Candy would probably do best as an only furchild as she is picky about the other dogs she wants to hang out with. She has a fear of thunderstorms and she will need to be an indoor dog and with a person or in a crate when a storm comes up.
Please share far and wide! Let's find this sweet and loving dog the home she has been waiting for!
