Ruby:
Ruby has a heart of Gold and a tail that never stops wagging. All she wants is to love and be loved. She was born 1/22/2011 and would love to spend her next birthday in her forever home with people who love her. The first five years of her life were the lonely existence of a chained dog, only taken out occasionally for hunting. She was chained next to her sisters Sadie and Gemma. "Thanks" to the way that Ruby was treated as a hunting dog, she cannot go to a home with cats or small dogs. She is fine with medium and large dogs and loves children. She has been living in a foster home with a black lab who she loves to play with. Her favorite activity, however, is snoring on the recliner. Or bed. Or blanket...you get the idea. Yes, she's a hound, and yes, sometimes she loves to let her melodious Baying fly, but she is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. Ruby is not as big as she may look in the pictures; she only weighs around 38lbs. Please adopt this angel and give her the life she deserves.
