Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What a darling boy Hardy is. He wants to be your buddy and go with you when you go in the car or for a walk. He wants to share the recliner with you and be next to you on the couch. He is the ultimate "buddy". He does prefer to sleep in a dog bed next to yours though.
Hardy (aka Dave) is a large beagle boy weighing about 35-40 lbs. ideally and about 17" tall at the shoulder. He reminds you of a big teddy bear - but a bear with a mind of his own. He is a determined sort - if he wants to get to something, he will employ his beagle devices and try to figure out how to get it. He needs someone who is dog savvy and would like to channel his intelligence in a positive direction. He's already got some commands under his belt so you know he's got a good foundation to start with. Building on that would be great for him and for you.
Beagles of his age are a little hard to pin down so we're guessing five. He's house trained - never had an accident in the house. He is kenneled during the day at this foster home but would probably be okay loose as long as everything is secured that you don't want him to get into. Because of his size and strength, he would be great for a family with children that are pre-teen or above.
If a teddy bear beagle named Dave sounds like he's what you're looking for, please apply.
