Chloe's Story...
Chloe is a pretty 4-year-old petite (80 lbs.) harlequin with blue eyes Great Dane. She was surrendered because she has a strong prey drive and she was chasing the owner's horses. She will also chase any small dog, cats and farm animals (livestock, chickens). She can also climb a fences, so she must be in a home with a tall privacy fence.

Chloe is house and crate trained. She does well with other large dogs, but no small dogs. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations.

If interested in giving Chloe a good home, fill out our adoption application. If you have questions, please email:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
