This morning Gertie woke up, stretched her legs, gave kisses, and then launched into her quirky little "happy dance" that she occasionally entertains with. She twirled around a few times with her rump tucked way in and happiness on her face, ready to start the day. It makes everyone that sees her do it laugh. Her ability to feel so much joy at even the smallest of activities makes her so special. Want to go for a walk? Happy dance! Want to snuggle? Happy dance! Treat? Happy dance! As a ten year old, Gertie is happy to snuggle up on your lap and cuddle or sleep, but she is healthy and strong enough to love being someone's active playmate. A credit to her intelligence and desire to please, Gertie has picked up commands very quickly. She knows how to "sit" and "lay down" on command. She will "go to her bed" on command, and she also knows how to "kennel" on command. The command "kennel" means she will go where you point to. Point to your room and say "kennel" and she will go there. Point to the closet, an actual kennel, etc., and she will go there. She loves one-on-one time, but would probably do well with other doggy playmates that are her size or larger. Right now she has three other playmates, a Rottweiler, a Great Dane, and a Pyrenees mix. They play quite often, but she is as happy having her human friends all to herself! Gertie would do best in a home with adults only. She needs someone that loves to cuddle as much as she does. There really is nothing she loves more. Love her and you will have her total love and loyalty. She is up to date on all vaccinations, heart-worm negative, spayed, and ready to find her family and do a little happy dance!
We are a team made up mostly of women who believe in the breed and fight daily to educate the public on responsible guardianship of the bull breeds as a whole, as well as OUR duty as humans to spay and neuter our pets to help stop the senseless killing of 11,000 animals a day!

Our Adoption Process...
All of our dogs are, or will be, fully vetted prior to final adoption. Our process is unique because we cross match your pets with our adoptable dogs to show who would fit best with your family. After you decide which Angel you would like to adopt we enroll you and your dog in into our Guardian Angel Program. Basically you are fostering/bonding with the dog and making sure they are going to be a match with you and your home. After a two week to one month time frame we finalize the contract when you and the dog are comfortable. The dogs in our care are crate and basic obedience trained as well as house trained. Our adoption fees range from $150 to $250 which includes all vaccinations including bordatella, spay/neuter, heartworm test and preventative & treatment if necessary. We do home visits on all potential adopters and fosters.
