Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweetie pie was dumped in Lockhart, Tx so we named her Locket because she is something to be treasured and kept close to your heart. She is a playful puppy who likes to run and play but also take naps at this age.
Locket likes to be around people and gets along with other dogs and kids. She is an excellent car rider and unless she gets scared she will walk on a leash with you. Puppies need to be taken places so they see the world and know their place in it. As a stray she probably saw scary things so taking her around visiting places will build trust and confidence, in any dog.
Pet's Name: Locket
Date of Birth/Age: as of March 30 she is 3 months old
Gender: Female
Weight: 22 lbs. currently
Mix/Purebred: Mix
Housetrained: In progress
Crate trained: In progress
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Too young to test, currently on prevention
Spayed/Neutered: Spayed
Micro chipped: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes, playful puppy
Good with cats: Assessing, young enough to train
Good with children: Good with everyone thus far
We are working on crate and house training but she is smart and should take to it in no time. She came to our group March 30 so the more we get to know her the more we will post. Puppies take a lot of time and attention, please don't apply if you are not going to have the time to give her daily exercise, socialize her with people and other dogs and provide her with obedience training if needed. We want her to be a perfect example of the breed.
If you are interested in adopting Locket, please go to our website, copy, paste and complete our adoption application. Email the application to gsdrescuectx@yahoo.com.
