Facts about Ruby

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Ruby is a sweet, gentle and humble female kitty. She is all black, with short hair. She is an older kitty – about eleven years old. Ruby is a little shy and doesn’t put herself forward but does place herself near you and look up with hope in her eyes that you will notice her and pet her. Sometimes she rolls on her back to make sure that you understand. Ruby likes to stay grounded – she’s not one for jumping up, but if you pick her up and cuddle her, she will appreciate it. In fact she is very appreciative of any attention. She’s a loving soul and will adore the person who cares about her and cares for her. Ruby, being shy and older, doesn’t hang out with the other cats much, but is always nice with other cats so would be okay in a multi-cat household – preferably with none that are aggressive. She would also do well as the only cat in the household. She doesn’t need a lot of stimulation, but she really needs a nice home and a kind human companion.

At Brigid's Crossing we take the time to care for the animals until they are safe in their new homes which we believe makes for a healthy and happy transition for all involved.

All of our animals are chipped, spay/neutered and up to date on current shots.
