My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vino is a 15 lbs, 5 year old Red and white male fostered in Lubbock, Texas.

Looking for: A family with which to share my love and awesomeness. 

Vino is an owner release along with his sister Bella due to declining health of their previous owner. My foster family has been a great place to receive the care and love I need. I was comfortable from the beginning and did not have separation issues when Bella went to another foster home. 

I am affectionate, willing to please, and a 95% good boy. I’m a fast learner. 
I love, love, love to go for walks. I can’t get enough sniffing time and there is so much to see! My foster mom is working on my staying by her and not needing to zigzag. BUT it is so FUN to go for a walk! 

I am very friendly with other dogs, but have never been around cats so don’t know what I’d do. I’m thrilled to play with kids... adults too. Sit down and I’ll be there in case you need to pet me and talk to me. Or I’ll relax nearby on the couch, a chair or dog bed. I don’t really tend to join the Iggy piles. 

Car rides and visiting pet friendly stores are high on my list of favorite things to do. Along with going for walks and playing with other dogs. Did I mention I love to smell everything when I am on walks? Simple pleasures. I’m a simple dog.

My favorite place to sleep at night is in my crate in my cozy bed (open door). I will grace you with my presence in bed if you want, but I will probably head back to the crate once you have fallen asleep. Then I’ll be back in the morning so you will see me first thing and just in time for breakfast. Can you think of a better way to start the day? Well, besides going for a walk?

I know there is someone out there that is looking for me. Meanwhile, I’ll be happy here and wait patiently for you to find me.
