Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Sherri and I'm perfect. At least that's what my foster parents tell me!
I've had a tough time of it, beginning with getting sick and lost during the Christmas holidays. Oh my, that was so scary and I felt so awful. I was on the street, in an intersection and some people found me - but they encouraged me to "go home." Then I got found again and the nice people found someone to help me out. I had emergency surgery for Pyometra and by the new year, I was feeling great. Unfortunately I had to have more surgery! I had breast cancer and it took two more surgeries but I'm all fixed up now.
How old am I? Well, hmmm. That's no kind of question to ask a lady! But I'll tell you. I'm 10 years old. The foster mom says that's fine and I'm in really good shape for a girl who has been through so much. My ears don't work so well sometimes and to add to my problems, I had glaucoma in one of my eyes a couple of weeks ago and now my vision is a little foggy.
Ok - now the "tell all" is out of the way and I can mention the things that are more fun! I love sitting on the couch with my people. If I need a little attention, I will put my paw on your arm. Sometimes I get really excited and squeak. I like to snooze on the back of the couch, sometimes I play with toys. I love snuggling with my foster brothers and sisters. I never have house training accidents (almost never) and I don't mind telling anyone when I need to go out. I'm told I'm VERY good company and my manners are perfect. See? Perfect! That's me!
Oh, and I'm a "Red Collar Cocker" - that means I'm a member of a special club for cockers of a certain age. I'm supposed to wear a red collar but I chose lavender instead. Red was never my best color.
Sherri 10 years old, spayed
special needs - reduced vision and hearing
black and white parti cocker
gets along with dogs and cats, has not been tested with children but I suspect she would love those like she loves everyone else.
