ATHENA's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

ATHENA's Story...
Athena is a 30-35 lb Dutch Shepard mix who was saved just minutes from being euthanized. She is currently living with a foster now and we have found out that she is a sweet loving girl and loves being around people and kids. She does not do well with cats and has a prey drive and should not be placed with any cats. No one obviously worked with her prior to coming to the shelter so she will benefit from some obedience classes to continue basic obedience training. Athena has a beautiful brindle coat and sweet disposition about herself. Adoption Fee $150

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ATHENA, a Williamsburg Dutch Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd for sale in Williamsburg, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd dog from a breeder in Williamsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williamsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williamsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williamsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
