Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Estrella is a tan/white 6 year old Maltese/Havanese mix who weighs about 14 lbs. She came into the shelter with a horribly matted coat so she hasn’t had an easy time of it lately. Despite this, she has a wonderfully calm attitude and is not at all aggressive or scared apart from a little initial fear at her new surroundings. She is very friendly and so laid back about being handled she is chill about having her nails clipped and her eyes cleaned. She's a total love bug who shows so much excitement and enthusiasm when she sees her person that you'd think she's a puppy, and she loves to give kisses.
She gets along well with cats. She loves to play with other dogs but she can play rough. She can be an alpha female and may take a while to adjust to another female alpha dog in the home, but eventually she adjusts She would do well with a male submissive dog in the home. When she is outside, she likes to go potty a couple of times so she needs time. She is not hypoallergenic and does shed. Estrella is perfectly housetrained and crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. She could stand to gain a few pounds so we are feeding her like the Princess she is. She is super smart, minds well and respects NO. Estrella does not have separation anxiety and is fine about spending time by herself and chilling like a couch potato. She's a wonderful girl who would be so excited to find her forever home.
