My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Rusty. I'm a 2 year old poodle mix. I get my name from a Rusty colored spot on my back, everyone thinks it's cute and give me character.
I had a pretty rough start to life. Me and 5 other poodles were confiscated from a home where they used us for breeding. Us males weren't treated very nicely. I am very scared of men but warm up to women fairly quick. I find great comfort being with one person. My foster mom says I'm like a shadow because I'm always by her side. I'm finally warming up to the men in the house, they started giving me yummy treats and I'm a total sucker for a good treat.
Some of my timidness might be due to my poor vision. My doctor told me that I can see well out of my left eye, but not so good out of my right due to cataracts. I navigate very well and rarely bump into things.

Rusty is potty trained and crate trained. He loves car rides and cuddles. He gets along great with their dogs and doesn't seem to have a interest in cats.
We think Rusty would do best in a quiet home, and because of his timidness we recommend that there are no young kids under the age of 12. Once this guy warms up to you he will win your heart over. He would be a wonderful travel companion.
If you think your the right home for Rusty give us a call.
