Pip's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pip's Story...
Pip (white body) and Emma (dark body) are 6 yo female rat terrier mixes which came to MCP from Chicago Animal Control, a high kill impound in Chicago, where they were in danger of being euthanized. These little ladies are shy and not too sure the whole world isn't out to get them, but are building up their confidence day by day. They can be adopted together or separately! They are good with other small dogs (so far have been pretty suspicious of large ones in their foster homes) and cats.

Mission Compassion Paw Inc is a 501c3 organization that serves the Chicagoland area. You can make a tax deductible donation to MCP via paypal (

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pip, a Chicago Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
