My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Casey, a Yorkie and or Silky Terrier guy. His human passed away, so he needs to find a forever home. He came into rescue almost entirely bald from years of flea infestation and a very poor diet. But he’s now growing hair back and feeling sooo much better. Casey is a spunky little guy who has learned to play with his foster family’s big dog--he tells her off if she gets too rough with him or if she tries to take his toys. He has some vision loss, but it does not limit his movement but probably causes him to be a little more surprised when people approach him suddenly, so he’s not the dog for a family with very young children. Casey is 7 years old, 13 pounds and loves to cuddle. He’s reliably potty trained. Casey gets along with other dogs and will likely be fine with cats, but to our knowledge he has had no experience with them.
(An adoption donation of $250 is required.) If you are interested in adopting this dog, please email CHEW Dog Rescue at pawsontherun@gmail.com and ask for the adoption application form. If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
