Callie's Story...
Callie is a four and a half year old Pug/Shar Pei mix who has been awaiting her forever family for quite some time! She is good with all people and listens to redirection, learning new things quickly. She walks beautifully on leash and is also off leash trained. She is completely house trained but does not do well in crates and if left alone, she gets a little anxious. In fact, Callie would most certainly benefit from having another canine companion in the house to keep her company or a parent who works from home that will help keep her anxiety at bay. She naps most of the day away but is always game for a round of fun and play! Are you the family Callie has been waiting for?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Burlington Pug/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Shar Pei for sale in Burlington, or seeking a Pug/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Shar Pei breeders who help with Pug/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
