Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***URGENT!! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED!!***
Introducing Peppa! The 98% perfect dog!! Peppa is 2 years old.
Let's start with many of her fantastic qualities:
- For starters she's gorgeous! She has the most gentle look to her. A purely lovely sweet face. She has the prettiest golden yellow eyes, even her eye lashes are blonde.
- Her large velvety ears are unsurpassed, she will lean into your hand to have you rub them.
- Her overall coat has the softest velvety feel too. Her color is sandy beige.
On every walk we've had together people ask about her and compliment her on her beautiful looks!
Now her personality:
- Hands down this pup has it all.
- She can be a couch potato and curl up with you and be just as excited to go on a long walk.
- At home she is quiet, and she isn't destructive in the house.
- She very much prefers to do her business outside and is clean in the house. She may have an accident in the beginning until she familiarizes herself to the household.
- She loves playing with toys and loves foraging toys, you can put all of her diner kibble in a toy and she will gladly work at getting it all out. She likes to have her brain challenged as she's a very smart dog and a fantastic problem solver.
- The company of other polite dogs will make her very happy but she should be kept safe from ill mannered, untrained dogs and their owners, as she is quite vulnerable and can't protect herself well. If a dog is matched in weight and playing style she will gladly wrestle with them.
- Her goofy cheery personality is a joy to have, she's very loving and always ready for an adventure.
Exercise and diet:
- She is a rather curvy girl and I would imagine she was overfed and under walked. She will need to loose a few pounds to have her in top physical shape. The advantage to having a very food motivated dog is that she will always be up for a training session and I'm quite positive she will learn many things quickly.
- She is currently being fed a weight management diet and very small
healthy treats.
The 2% short of perfection is... Since she has to rely on her nose so much, if she is not set up in a safe environment where she doesn't have access to human food, well you can count on her to find it smile emoticon She is still in training and doing fantastic but what is left unattended on a counter top or table is fair game in her doggie mind.
I haven't listed the fact that she is blind until now as it really isn't anything other than unique and not a problem in the least. She shocks me every day with how able and non disabled she is that I tend to forget that she can't see!!! She will spend her first 24 hours making a mental map of the lay out of the house, inputting this info into her doggie hard drive, then she will settle.
If you feel that Peppa is the right girl for you, please visit our website and complete an adoption application. www.furkidsrescue.ca
