My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Frankie. I'm about 2 years old now and I weigh about 60 lbs ( I am very, very tall, but very slender). They pound thinks I am a mix of Great Dane, boxer and hound.
I was originally adopted from the Pound when I was 8 months old, but was recently returned.
I am a wonderful dog. I do have a lot of energy to burn off. A family with a fenced in yard or someone who can take me on very long walks a couple of times a day would be awesome.
I get along wonderful with other dogs and I really like to play with them! I mean, I REALLY like to play! I am great, whether it be with just a single playmate or a whole group of dogs.
I am very rowdy and rambunctious. Sometimes, when I get really excited, I will play bite. I don't really understand that sometimes it actually hurts. I just need someone who can teach me how to be appropriate when I'm playing. I also have this thing I do when cars go by... It sets me a little bit crazy and I sometimes nip the people around me. I am doing really well with training, so I just need a patient family and more training on this.
I have been fine with the kids that I have been around so far here at the pound. I play really rough, though, so it is advised that I don't go to a home with small children.
I do have a very loud, houndy sounding bark and I am not afraid to use it when I get excited or if I want something. Therefore, I will need a family that doesn't mind a little bit of sass mouthin'.
If you're looking for a nice dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER APRIL 13, 2016
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $120 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING, MICROCHIP AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
