My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You are rewarded not according to your work or your time but according to the measure of your love." - Catherine of Sienna
Having our sweet girl Cattie as part of the family would be one of life's wonderful rewards for a special act of love...welcoming a once abandoned and unloved pup into the folds of a forever loving home. Cattie is a 6 month old black and white Heeler mix who currently weighs 25 lbs. She will likely be around 35 to 40 lbs when full grown. Our sweet youngster is known for her happy wiggly loving demeanor. She is more than happy to meet new friends and very much loves the company of children and other dogs. She may not necessarily run around and play with cats but they are certainly welcome in her world. Cattie is learning all kinds of new things in her new found life of living in a real house with people who actually care about her and are taking the time to help her learn to be a really great pup. She is doing pretty good with her house training and she should have it figured out in no time. Foster mom says she is a quiet little girl and they are still working on picking up her cues to go out. While being crated is not exactly her favorite thing in the world, she does well just the same. Her dislike of being crated is simply because she does not wish to be separated from her people. She does not make a big fuss, but rather whines ever so softly for a couple of minutes then it's done. Cattie has completely mastered leash walking and with a little more work and training her foster mom says she will make a wonderful running partner. She is also picking up on basic commands and has learned to sit pretty when asked. Cattie is an energetic girl who will do best with an active person or family. She would be great with people who are willing to take the time to work with challenging her mentally and physically with exercise, play, games, and new skills. She loves a variety of toys to play with but her favorites are the stuffed squeaky kind. When this sweet girl isn't busy playing she is all about being a superstar snuggle puppy. There is just nothing more comforting than cuddling up on the couch with the people you love and she takes full advantage of every opportunity to do so. Cattie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. She is now ready to move forward and begin a new chapter in her life. Cattie is waiting to reward some very lucky people with an immeasurable amount of love and no doubt the reward of a forever loving home will never be forgotten.
