Thai's Story...
Thai (short for Thailand) has the striking good looks of a little jungle cat with the heart of a lap cat! She was rescued from the shelter in a case of mistaken identity, but this awesome girl, like so many others, deserves her own second chance at life and a forever home. Fostered in Huntsville, AL, Thai is not quite a kitten and not quite a cat. After just a couple days of shyness, she came out of her shell and into our laps. She is a fun, confident cat who won't be pushed around by our much bigger and bossier cats. And did I mention how much she loves people? Super-friendly, she's great with children and adults, the kind of friendly, follow-you around, play with a laser toy, snuggle in bed cat that even non-cat people love! Please let us know if you would like to meet this exceptional girl! Thai is felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75 and you can complete an application for her at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thai, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
