My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Colonel K!!! He is a funny little sennie that is still settling into the shelter. He was surrendered as mean and aggressive, but he's not a bad boy. He does have some hesitation and will nip, but he has great potential and when he picks his person, he will be a wonderful and devoted companion.

The Colonel is DNA confirmed male and has clean disease testing. He is waiting for his forever home where he will be understood and happy!!

The Adoption Process: Fill out our online adoption application which can be found on our website, www.ahelpingwing.org (no phone calls please). A representative from A Helping Wing will be in touch to answer all questions and discuss setting up a first visit. Multiple visits are required before adoption. Although there is no application fee, there is an adoption fee, which covers food, medical care, etc., and allows us to continue our efforts in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for all of our birds. All birds at AHW have been vetted and have negative tests for any disease before they are made available for adoption!
