Alice's Story...
Meet Alice, formally known as ‘Nice Momma #5’. Alice is our best foster momma ever. She takes in all the orphan kittens and mothers them for us. She is simply amazing. Alice loves other cats and loves to play with kittens. For anyone who has been in the Zeus’ Place office, you know how loving she is to humans and how much she hates dogs. Alice is up to date on shots, combo tested negative, spayed and microchipped. If interested in taking this awesome cat in to your home, fill out the online app at www.zeusrescues.org. We will be very sad to see her go, but realize that she needs to be in a home. — at Zeus' Place.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alice, a New Orleans Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
