Toby's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Toby's Story...
Toby is only 7 months old and 100% puppy. He is going through a growth spurt right now and hasn't quite caught up with the size of his ears and legs yet. Even at this young age Toby already knows sit. He's working on his patience but right now will whine and paw the air if he isn't rewarded as quickly as he thinks he should be. Toby is looking for someone who will work with him and teach him puppy manners so that he can grow up to be a great dog!

You can visit me during open hours, which are Monday through Thursday 9am-3pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm or email to make an appointment for another time. Please see our website at palspetsia.com for adoption fees and other information!

The PALS shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Grinnell Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Grinnell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Grinnell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grinnell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grinnell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grinnell paves the way for another one to be saved.
