Sunny's Story...
Hey there! My name's Sunny, what's yours? I'm around 10 years old, and am an Australian shepherd / spaniel mix. I'm a very sweet girl, and would love to be your new best friend. I would do well in a home with other dogs, kids and cats. I'm up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and also have a microchip. What more could you ask for?!?

Do you have room in your house and heart for a wonderful older girl like me? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Youngwood Australian Shepherd/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
