Slinky's Story...
ADOPTION PENDING

Slinky is being fostered near Colorado Springs.

Meet Slinky! She is such a fun little dog with a lot of personality. Slinky is about a year old and 18lbs. Everyone that meets her says how isnt she adopted yet, she is such a great dog. She would make a great sidekick to really any family! She does great in the car and loves going on trips. As long as she is let out on a schedule she will not have an accident in the house. She is a little shy in new situations however she is as sweet as can be (very submissive). After she warms up she loves to play with her foster dogs siblings (they play all day). She is not nippy or growly what so ever. She is currently being fostered with larger dogs and cats and she does great with all. She really loves to cuddle on the couch and go exploring in the mountains.

If you are interested in adopting or meeting Slinky please start by filling out our adoption application. If her profile is still listed she is still available.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Slinky, a Greeley Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Greeley, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Greeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
