My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harry #2 is a 8 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 80 pounds. Harry is looking for a family that will continue to help him get healthy. Harry has always been one who got along with other dogs. He was always a hit in doggie day care. He has always been submissive around other dogs. He was a Dockdog competitor for 5 years and loves to swim. He was content to sleep on the bed but was not a cuddler. He has never had a prey drive and isn't interested in chasing squirrels or deer. Harry is not a fan of dog parks and prefers going for long walks much more. He's allergic to cats. He's good around kids but has never lived with any, so he's approved for kids 10 and up. Harry was an owner surrender who couldn't take care of his medical needs. He is approved for kids 10+.

Update: Harry continues to do well in his foster home. He's meeting lots of new people, and most of the time he's a brave boy and says Hi. Sometimes, when he's feeling a bit more shy, Harry will travel behind foster mom's legs and hang out there until the stranger goes away. Harry has made friends with a doggie buddy named Libby and they are getting along great! They are having a lot of fun together. Harry's allergy medications seem to be starting to take effect and he is itching much less.

Update: Harry is doing great! His skin is healing, and his fur is coming back in. He is an easy going guy. Perfect mix of outdoor spunk and indoor calm. Excellent house manners, leash skills, car rider and doesn't need you 24/7. He is very food motivated!

Update:: Harry is the perfect family dog. This 8 year old Golden Lab is a retired Champion "Dock Jumper" and swimmer who is looking for a loving home, preferably with active children and no other pets. Harry is house trained and very low maintenance. He is a sweet and loyal companion who loves to swim, fetch a tennis ball and curl up besides you for a bedtime story.

Update:: Harry is improving everyday and shows lots of spunk on his walks and stairs. Given that he is a former dock dog competitor, it would be great if his forever home had some water to play in.

Update:: Harry is doing great in his foster home! He's a shadow kinda guy and rolls for belly rubs from everyone. Excellent in the car, at night and on leash. Working on continuing skin improvement and a little counter surfing. For an 8 year old, Harry has incredible stamina on his walks and on stairs; probably from his years as a dock dog competitor. Harry would love any home with his people and a chance to swim again.

Update: Sweet 8 yr old Harry is praying for his forever home. He is the perfect mix of indoor calm and outdoor fun. He loves the car, walks, and to chase a tennis ball. Harry is a retired dock dog champion and loves the water. He is patient and does well alone and follows your lead. He is recovering from a skin infection. Easiest Foster ever.
