Tosha (special needs)'s Story...
Tosha is a beautiful Bombay mix female who was born in the early spring of 2013. She has a soft, sleek, and gleaming coat that is like black patent leather. She needs a special home because she had a badly infected eye and has limited vision in her right eye. She needs sturdy, heavy food and water bowls as she braces her feet on the edge of the bowl to eat and drink. She loves the 360-degree stainless water fountain and always comes to drink water when her foster mom fills it. She loves her foster mom and sleeps with her every night. She is quiet, gets along well with the other foster cats, and ignores the dog. She would be the perfect companion for a single person.
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black or Bombay mix cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the attached 2-3 minute YouTube video that appeared on Animal Planet or Google "Cats 101 Bombay."
Tosha is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tosha (special needs), a Houston Bombay cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bombay for sale in Houston, or seeking a Bombay cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bombay breeders who help with Bombay rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
