Buddy (Adopted)'s Story...
My name is Buddy and I’m the most sweet, friendly boy you could ever meet. I just turned 11 years old but you would never know it. I love to go for walks and would be a wonderful companion in a quiet home. I would be fine with cats and I have no problem with other dogs but I would like a home where I can get all of the attention. I am perfectly house trained and not much of a barker. My weight is around 30 pounds, so I will need to lose some weight as I’m not that tall. I think I 20-22 pounds would be a good weight for me. Check out my beautiful pictures and I look forward to hearing from you. I will need a secure fenced in yard for my safety, NO EXCEPTIONS, please. As of October 1, 2016, we are only taking applications from within the state of PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy (Adopted), a New Castle Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in New Castle, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in New Castle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Castle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Castle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Castle paves the way for another one to be saved.
