Buddy (ADOPTED)'s Story...
Hi all !!! My name is Buddy and I just came into Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue here in PA, and I REALLY love these folks. Everyone has been so kind to me and I’m getting so much love. I just turned 9 years old in March and I am one mellow, laid back boy. I love to go on walks and meet new folks and I always have a smile on my face : ) I still need to get my grooming and visit the vets so I won’t be ready for my forever home for several weeks. That’s OK, I’m having fun with my new foster mommy. I love to play with other pups and need to have my people close, so I will need a home that doesn’t leave me alone all day while their at work, and I would love to have a pup playmate to have fun with. I would be fine with cats and older children and would make such a wonderful companion. I just love my people! And I’m house trained and ride wonderfully in the car. I want to be ‘your’ Buddy, so check out my pictures and after you send in your application, you can come and meet me. I will need a secure fenced in yard and there are NO EXCEPTIONS. Hope to see you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy (ADOPTED), a New Castle Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in New Castle, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in New Castle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Castle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Castle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Castle paves the way for another one to be saved.
