My story

Hi! My name is Buttercup and I am 5 months old and learning to love the world and people around me. I came to Maine from somewhere down south and I am slowly adjusting to not only the indoor life but to people as well.

I can still be a little skittish around new people and new things, it was very scary for me in the beginning let me tell you, All I wanted to do was hide but my foster mom very patiently showed me what fun I can have when I’m out and about!

I am learning to trust more each day I’m getting the hang of this Kitten thing! I love to play, chase toys around and oh if they have a bell - even better!! I’ve learned that snuggling is a good thing - and I let my foster mom know how much I love it by purring and purring and purring and when I get to snuggle at bedtime - I’m in kitty heaven. I’ve also discovered that there are amazing things to be seen by sitting in a window!! I can sit and just look for hours!

I am still a work in progress - think spring flowers that are slowly starting to bloom - and will need someone with lots of love and patience to continue to help me discover all the wonderfulness in the world around me. I would love another cat friend too.
