Winnie's Story...
COURTESY POST ONLY: WINNIE IS CURRENTLY LIVING IN A KENNEL AND NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME. PLEASE CONTACT TISHA AT 814-883-5109 or lmstefanko@co.centre.pa.us for more information on Winnie.
Winnie is a 5 year old purebred Old English Bulldog (she comes with papers) who was rescued from an Amish breeder over 2 years ago. Winnie is seeking a new home because she is no longer comfortable living in a home with a human baby and several other dogs. Her family feels that she would be much more happy and flourish in a home where it's 'all about Winnie', or at least mostly about her:) Winnie is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and housetrained.
Winnie will do best in a home where there are no small children and no other pets.

Here is what Winnie's mom has to say about her: 'Winnie is a very loyal, loving dog.  Once she has gotten over her initial skittishness she will be your shadow.  She weighs approx. 75 lbs but is currently on a diet because that is a bit heavy.   She pretty much just likes to lounge around and chew bones.  I would recommend keeping her muzzled with a cage muzzle or in a kennel when not home, as she tends to shred things…….such as pillows.  Whoever adopts her will get her cage muzzle that we have for her.  She doesn’t mind going on walks but doesn't necessary look forward to them, either.'

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Tyrone American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Tyrone, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Tyrone.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tyrone already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tyrone breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tyrone paves the way for another one to be saved.
