Winston's Story...
Meet Winston, an absolutely precious 5 month old puppy. He is a very sweet, very playful puppy! We are working on potty training, basic commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘down’, not jumping on people, and chewing on only appropriate things. He is teething right now so super sharp puppy teeth need lots of appropriate chew toys. His super power is leash walking and he loves playing with other dogs. If you are ready for puppyhood and can provide Winston with training, regular exercise, lots of chew toys, and lots of love he might just be the one for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a San Diego Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
