My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bootsie, a lovely tuxedo girl. She’s about 7 years old and lives in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, her elderly owner died. Do you know cats aren't even considered seniors until they are 11 years old? Bootsie's still kicking up her heels.

This little lady is a sweet female tuxedo kitty. She is confused and really wants a place to call home again. She didn’t do well in a display cage in a vet’s office. It was just too stressful after being in a quiet home with her senior person and a laid back dog. We haven’t checked to see if she likes other dogs yet. She has not spent time around kids or other cats. She's been quite sheltered.

We’re letting her relax a bit. Then, we'll try to get more information. It’s no surprise that moving from her home to a temporary home to a vet to another temporary shelter caused her some stress. Even so, there’s not been a hiss or cross word from her. The only way it shows is when she decides to hide under the curtain for a while. Just look at those cute photos, even after all of this has happened.

Bootsie is overweight right now, but her diet is progressing well. She’ll be trim in no time. Her health is good in all other areas, and she’s spayed. She’s friendly and sweet, in spite of all the recent upsets. She’s also very well-behaved and uses her litter box all the time too. This girl must be an indoor only kitty.

You can get more information and arrange a meet and greet easily. Just contact us. She’s in Austin, Texas. If you are near Austin, or know someone who lives in our area who needs a loving tuxedo lady cat, please tell them to contact us.

Bootise wants a new home with lots of love, and someone who likes to make da' bird toy fly for her.
