My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everybody! Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit. Let me start by telling you my name. I go by Richard, but you can call me Richie if you like. I'm not picky.

I'm a neutered male Cockapoo -- mixed with what, we aren't sure. If you adopt me, you should definitely run a DNA test on me. I hear it's really exciting to find out what type of dog you are. I'm not quite sure how old I am. It's hard to say exactly because I don't know how to tell time. Our best guess is that I am about 4 years old. I am already neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Not to toot my own horn, but I know that I am a super cute little guy. However, had you seen me when I got to the shelter, you wouldn't have been able to recognize me. Believe it or not, but my owner severely neglected me and then dumped me at a local high-kill shelter. I was a mess. Filthy and matted to the skin. My friends here at the rescue had to have me completely shaved because the mats were so bad that they couldn't be brushed out. Isn't that sad? I can't tell you how much better I feel now! In spite of everything I've been through, I'm one of the happiest dogs around. My cute little nub of a tail never stops wagging!

I'm a really sweet pup. I get along well with people and I'm okay with most other dogs, although some bigger dogs make me nervous. I'm not a high energy pooch, so it's okay if you aren't a really active person. At 4 years of age, I enjoy the calmer side of life. I wouldn't consider myself to be a couch potato, though. I'd enjoy walks around the neighborhood and the occasional get together with my canine pals. Another thing I love is car rides. They're the best! I'd love to go everywhere with you!

Now that you know a little about me, do you think that I would make a great addition to your family? If so, you should definitely contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me. I can't wait to start my new life with you!
