My story

Hi all, my name is Jani I am a 5 yr old, 8 kg male spaniel/terrier mix who is very lucky to have been rescued from the streets of Tehran by a local rescuer there. You see I am blind. It isn't known if I was born blind or became blind while living as a stray. But what is known is that I wouldn't have survived much longer. It is hard enough for sighted stray dogs to survive in Iran, let alone a disabled one. I was terribly thin and very filthy when I was found hiding and whining underneath the derelict truck I was living under. My rescuer was able to entice me out with badly needed food. She took me home and has restored me to health. I am a very gentle soul who gets along great with kids, dogs and cats (I love cats so much that I like to give them kisses). I am a very quiet, super loving and affectionate girl who would prefer a home with no children as loud, rambunctious young kids running around would cause me some distress. A quiet, calm home would suit me best. As you can see from my pictures just after I was groomed I am a very adorable cutie pie. I don't need much - a couple of easy walks a day, a soft bed, some good food and being treated with loving kindness is all it will take to win my undying gratitude and loyalty. If you apply to foster or foster to adopt me then I can be brought to Canada and start my new and much improved life. I am spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $350.
