Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everybody! Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexa.
At 45 pounds, I'm most likely a mix of a Wheaten Terrier and Poodle. But you should definitely run a DNA test, if you adopt me. I hear it's really exciting to find out what type of dog you are. Sometimes, the results can be surprising!
My age is another unknown. It's hard to say exactly because I don't know how to tell time. Our best guess is that I am about 4 years old.
I am a spayed female, already microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Not to brag, but I know that I am a super cute pup. However, had you seen me when I got to the shelter, you wouldn't have been able to recognize me. Believe it or not, but my owner severely neglected me and then dumped me at a local high-kill shelter. I was a mess. Filthy and matted to the skin. My friends here at the rescue had to have me completely shaved because the mats were so bad that they couldn't be brushed out. Isn't that sad? I can't tell you how much better I feel now!
I'm a really sweet pup who loves the company of my human friends. I'll be honest, does take me a little time to get comfortable with new people, but once I trust you, I'll have no problem giving you doggy kisses. I just need someone that will go slow with me so that I can feel safe. Are you that someone?
Now that you know a little about me, do you think that I would make a great addition to your family? If so, you should definitely contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me. I can't wait to start my new life with you!
