Facts about Oliver

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tan Or Fawn Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Oliver is a very sweet young boy who was found trying to hide out in a transmission business garage. The poor thing must have tried to climb up in a engine or something because it looked like the skin was burned away around his eye but after going to the vet and getting it looked at and treated-it is completely healed up.
While he was there they neutered him, vaccinated him for FVRCP and rabies, he was dewormed and defleaed and he did test negative for both feline leukemia and FIV.
Oliver is a very handsome and sweet boy (which all buff cats seem to be) but is a little shy yet due to his tough start. He wants to play but is not quite sure how to and does loved to be loved but is still a little leary. He has been around dogs who are nice to him and a few cats but the foster also has other cats that are mean to him, so he stays clear of them.
He just needs a home with some TLC to show you that he too is one of those "awesome buff tabby boys" who are some of the BEST cats EVER!

About Castaway Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in meeting one of our cats, you can fill out our online adoption application at www.castawaycatsde.com. Once we receive your application we will contact you with any questions we may have, and then will set up a day and time for you to meet the cat/cats. Once a match is found for your family, there is an $85 adoption fee. This fee covers spaying/neutering of your cat, worming, all shots including rabies, ear mite and flea treatment, and Feline Leukemia and AIDS testing. All adoptions are done on a trial basis so we can be sure everyone is happy. Our goal is to find the best possible cat for you and to ensure our cats have happy forever homes.
