Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello my name is Rosie I am a one year old Black Lab Mix with chocolate accents. At first sight what you will notice is my beautiful amber eyes and cotton soft coat, but after spending a few minutes with me you will notice my sweet, loving personality. I currently weigh 77 pounds, but I will probably gain a few more before I’m done growing. I spent most of my youth outside on a chain tied to a tree, so I have a lot to learn. I will need a six foot fence to keep me safe. I am also heartworm positive but the rescue is getting me top notch treatment so I will be good as new and ready for my new family soon. My foster mom says I'm crazy smart and what should have taken me weeks to learn, I have learned in days but I am not perfect, yet. She also says I am unbelievably helpful with chores, I bring her things the boys leave laying around the house, such as socks, earphones, her water bottle, she was so happy I brought these to her and happy I didn't chew them. (Why would I chew them?) Things I am working on are potty training - once I found the door and got a routine, not jumping up to help clear the breakfast dishes, crate training - everyday my foster mom says crate....in I go and I get a cookie, yeah! My foster mom also says that I am fortunate to have such a warm, friendly, and outgoing personality, she says I make her smile. After being alone most of the time I prefer to be with humans especially children but because of my energy over the age of 7. I enjoy walks, I walk well on a leash and even better on a gentle leader. Watching a movie, lying next to you getting belly rubs, or snuggling up with you at night are among my favorite things to do. I also really enjoy playing with other dogs of all sizes. There is only one thing missing from my wish list, my forever home. Rosie is up to date on all her shots, will have gone through her heart worm treatment, is de-wormed, spayed, and microchipped. Rosie’s adoption fee is $300. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS.
