Do you like to sit on the couch and eat cookies and ice cream and watch tv? You do?! So do I! My name is Cinder and I look like an Oreo cookie, which is just fine with me because I’m so sweet. I’m a little shy when I first meet you, but once I get a chance to hang out with you on the couch, I’m all love and cuddles. Have a cat-savvy dog? Even better! I think dogs are pretty cool, and don’t mind other cats either. I’m not too sure about kids yet, but if your kids like and respect cats, they I’ll probably like them too. I’m about 8 years old, neutered, up to date on shots and good to go. So, are you up for a movie and cuddles this weekend? I am fixed, microchipped and vaccinated – my adoption fee is $100. Fill out an application and come visit me at the Pixie Project!

About The Pixie Project

About Our Rescue Group...

The Pixie Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of animals through adoption services and low cost spay & neuter assistance. Our adoption center and non-profit retail store is located at 510 N.E. MLK Blvd Portland, OR 97232. We are open Tues-Fri 11-6, Sat 11-4.

Part of our mission is to help prevent overcrowding in county and rural shelters, therefore the majority of our animals are transferred from those shelter to Pixie Project. We do not accept owner surrendered pets or strays.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Meeting our adoptable animals:

Pixie Project -- Many of our dogs live on-site in kennels located in the back our facility, with 3 play yards for play groups. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only after an application has been submitted. This ensures we can make the best match for your family!

Pixie Project Cattery – The majority of the Pixie Project’s adoptable cats live in our free roaming cattery at the Pixie Project and are open to the public. No appointment necessary.

Pixie Project Foster Care – At any time The Pixie Project will have several animals living in loving foster homes. If you are interested in meeting an animal that is currently in foster care please contact the Pixie Project at to schedule a meet and greet

Our Adoption Process...

We have an application which can be downloaded from our website and sent back to us via email or fax (503-542-3437). Once the application has been filled out and submitted to us it is forwarded to our adoption committee. Once the application has been reviewed and processed the applicant will be contacted. This process usually takes about 24-48 hours.

All of our animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated (excluding rabies), and microchipped. Our adoption fees are based on the age and health of the dog or cat. Each pet’s fee is listed at the end of their description.
