My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB April 6, 2013.

Willow is a sweet, energetic, and affectionate kitty. She is deeply grateful for the love and attention she receives from her human companions, and though she really wants to be the best cuddle buddy ever, and has already mastered turning on the purr-machine, she’s still working on relaxing and melting onto her humans’ laps.

Willow loves to play and sometimes gets so into it that she’s literally bouncing off the walls, but “dive under the covers” is hands-down her favourite game! Most of all, though, she loves to talk, with trilling being her absolute specialty (sometimes, she’s even been mistaken for a bird because of the cute little noises she makes). That said, after a healthy bedtime dose of play and conversation, she sleeps through the night, which makes her such a great fur baby!

Willow was rescued from Toronto Animal Services, who had picked her up as a stray, before coming to her TCR foster family. Because of her sojourn on the streets, strange noises and sudden movements still make her a little nervous. She also sometimes shows signs of mild separation anxiety (she loves her humans so much that she just doesn’t want to be apart), so Willow will benefit from adoptive parents who can be patient with her continual adjustment and respective of her comfort zones (e.g. belly rubs are not cool, but she doesn’t mind being picked up). A gentle approach is key, and large daily doses of love and attention will help her grown into a more confident purring love-machine. Willow can't wait to join her forever family!
