My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Tina" is a happy-go-lucky, approx 45-lb 2-yo spayed female GSD mix who is energetic, adventurous and very affectionate. Tina is one of those dogs who could win the title “Miss Personality.” She has the funniest snarl that she displays when she is happy, almost like she is trying to smile! Tina loves to cuddle on the couch and is very friendly with strangers. We have not observed how Tina interacts w/ small children, but I wouldn’t hesitate to place her in a home w/ any age kids.

Tina gets along great with other dogs, both male and female. She presently lives with a full-size, submissive female GSD (Natalie, also available for adoption) who she plays with constantly. She is a regular visitor at the dog park and does well with all dogs. We have not seen how Tina does with cats, but my gut-feeling is that she’ll be too energetic for them. However, I might consider a home with the right cat for her.

Tina is completely housetrained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She walks well on leash and loves to go for car rides. She’s not a barker, nor much of a watchdog. Tina is a high-energy dog that will require consistent exercise and ideally the regular opportunity to run off-leash at a dog park or to jog with her owner.

Tina is a turn-key family dog who will fit into a wide variety of household situations.

Tina was brought to the Stanislaus County Shelter as a stray on 3-17-16. GSRSV rescued her from the shelter on 4-4-16, and brought her to her present foster home in Antelope on 4-9-16. Tina’s adoption fee is $225, which includes a microchip.
