Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Canada is about 6 months old and weighs 40 lbs. We airlifted him out of Iran. He appears to be a Hound/Labrador/Shepherd mix and will probably be a big dog. He was found living in an unfinished building with about 12 puppies and around 12 more adult dogs. His mom was one of the adult dogs and he has been with her since he was born so he has always had a mother’s love and attention. This has turned him into an amazingly calm, gentle and well balanced dog. He can be choosy with other dogs and needs time to get to know them. He can also be fearful in new environments and may growl out of fear at kids. He gets along well with other dogs and people although he may take a moment to warm up.We recommend that he live with medium to larger sized dogs and not small dogs. We also suggest no small kids. Despite his size, Canada is low energy - even lazy. He'll play for 15 minutes then he wants to go off and take a nap. Canada loves everyone he meets and he will be a joyful addition to any home. Canada is cool. He is entertaining, intelligent and confident.
As well as needing a home for Canada, we also need help for all the other Iranian puppies which we are nursing back to health, caring for and flying to the U.S. We are grateful for any support you can give in helping us these babies get a new start in life.
