My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chatty Cathy was born in 2015. She was a stray who was being fed by a couple living in some apartments on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids. When she arrived, we saw that she had an eartip (universal sign of an already neutered cat - usually done on ferals but sometimes friendly strays too), showing she been spayed and then released back outdoors.

We think she deserves a chance to be adopted. Her name made sense at the time she was in our intake area because she talked non-stop. As soon as she was out of a cage, her chattiness disappeared, but her name remains.

Cathy is quiet with a sweet disposition. She loves all our volunteers and isn’t shy about asking for ear scratches and love. If she doesn’t get it, she head-butts as a reminder that she’s there waiting. Look into her big, innocent eyes and just try to say no!

Cathy tolerates other cats in the same room, but not up close or directly next to her. She would do best being an only cat in a home that is quiet and calm..

Our adoption center is located at 7962 Clyde Park SW Byron Center. Our open adoption hours are every Thursday 6-8pm and Sunday from 12-2pm. Come on out and meet the love of your life!

Our adoption fee is $85 for one and $125 for two. (Donations above our fee are always encouraged and greatly appreciated as the average kitty costs us around $150 to take from dive to dream home.)

'Our adoption facility only houses so many kitties. The rest are in foster homes. If you want to meet a specific kitty, please inquire with us before attending an adoption event, so we can make every effort to have the requested kitties available!'
